V, my respect for you has increased. Another sister with no fashion sense here. Just today I was wearing a thermal shirt I bought when I was 17 -- and I'm 42 now.
There isn't much of the binding at the neck and sleeves left, but it's in one piece, and still toasty warm!

I also tend towards solid colors and torn-hem pants, and I wouldn't carry an LV bag if it were given to me for free -- I'd sell the damn thing. Maybe we were separated at birth?

Wait a second? Pants have different lengths, too? I could've chosen pants that don't rip at any time in my life? I thought it only applied to width and then the leg parts are as long as they are, so it's better to test they are not too short.

And that bag costs 1500 Dollars? What's that, like 1200 Euros or something? Over a thousand for a bag? My entire wardrobe is not worth that. Sans me suits. I do not enjoy being in a suit. Hence it has to be comfortable. But gots to have them. For others. (Mainly for Ben Dover.)

I think my granny has a bag like that. She's been wearing that kind of bags since I can remember. Hm... maybe I'll ask her who's gonna inherit them...

I prefer more like what V's preferences are. Plain color, no stripes, patterns or other weird colorings. Easy to mix when it's only colors. Patterns would make it difficult. I do have a semi-funny t-shirt print most of the time, but otherwise, clothes I like should be in one color.

But I would never, ever put jeans on. (Corduroy since pre-school!)

Well, never say never. Maybe I'll get a farmhouse some day. Then I'll wear jeans while plowing.

Personally, I *way* prefer semi-precious, but colorful, stones to a diamond. Amethyst and Citrine being my favorite.

But if you *do* like diamonds, why not get a Canadian one? They're mind in the Northwest Territories (like Alaska, but further east)

V, I love you a little more after that post. I agree with you that clothes and "fashion" in general are horrible investments, which I suspect is the real reason you don't dress better. The only thing that has enabled me to enjoy playing with fashion a bit more in the last few years are secondhand shops, and you have said used clothes creep you out. Which I totally understand, because this one time I didn't WASH the used clothes before I wore them and my armpits erupted in cysts.... but then I got more careful and that hasn't happened again.

Also, I am so with you on the diamond issue. Actually, I developed my moral issue in high school so DH knew better than to get me a diamond... my ring had a blue topaz... and then I lost the ring after 7 years (another reason I didn't want to actually WEAR anything expensive) so then I started using this cute opal ring that I didn't know where it came from? and my cousin noticed it and said "Hey, that's the ring my loser ex-boyfriend gave me, you can keep it though." Cool. I don't go for high-priced gemstones, but I love garnets and rose quartz and those synthetic blue opals.

V - I'm so excited to see you posting again!!

Now, someone please tell me why Dooce and Sweetney and other mommy-bloggers who can't write for shit but insist on posting pictures of their ugly retarded children, aren't on this page:

http://partyvan.info/index.php/Main_Page

Shouldn't they be on the enemies list?

They've earned it.

Look what's happening to Scientology and they're only exploiting adults.

http://partyvan.info/index.php/Project_Chanology

People who exploit their own children deserve a few cyber upsets. Nothing personal like that other fucktard who posted a picture of V's house. Like she's stupid enough to let that happen. Hello? Vacant house.

Oh, someone did post a picture of Dooce's old house. You have to do a search on Flickr. She deserves it. V doesn't.

War, I say! Boycott their advertisers, drain their bandwidth. Nothing illegal of course.
