Dec 2nd, 2007
His name was Tyrone.
He was graceful, lithe and his skin was so black it was almost blue. Although he was two years younger than me, he stood a full foot […]

To quote Yakov Smirnoff: “What a country!”
I’m glad I come from a civilized western country, where the basic social security works… Maybe that new continent just follows these things a bit slower.
But this made me think. V has several times ranted about people having children and not taking care of them and particulary she dislikes the way men are treated in the separation process.
But what about free condoms? What about pro-choice? Statistics tell us a kid from a poor, dysfunctional family is more likely to turn into crime than from more privilidged family. Cut the bs about “sanctity of life” and all that. Where’s the sanctity when Zephir’s and Astar’s mom got knocked up for a fix?
Might sound cruel but when you can’t provide your children, don’t get them. If you don’t want a kid, don’t get one. As I said, Pro-Choice, free condoms, and I might add sex education in the mix. Free abortions to all!
“Be fruitful and fill the land.” Check. Done that. Let’s move on.
Tyrone is remarkable for his character and it is painfully sad that he did not make it out of that shithole of a place. It is unbelievable that Violent Acres appears to have. It is a true miracle and I intend to speak to the Pope directly about it.
Get an editor fuck knuckle.
Right back at you, Reenster.
Commas. They are your friend and mine.
This one is not funny, it’s probably true. It’s the sad side of life that society doesn’t want to look at too closely. It hurts and it jumbles our minds.
Reform, rehab? Get real… not gonna happen. Give them the free needles; hell, give them the free drugs! But sterilize them first. That’s the trade-off.
Yeah, so lots of good people would never be born, but lots of lives would also not be wasted. We wouldn’t be reading V’s crazy blog, but Tyrone wouldn’t be sitting in prison. That’s the tradeoff.
I really want to believe that’s a true story because it’s so moving, but at the same time, I don’t want to. Just to protect my sheltered little mindset.
I’m sure this Tyronne guy is probably not perfect but he seemed like a good person with his heart in the right place and now he is locked away forever simply for defending his mother.
Everyone is looking for the magic bullet to kill the the evil. Better law enforcement, outreach programs, free needles, family planning, tough drug laws, relaxed drug laws..etc. There is no magic bullet. You fight evil when see it. Like Tyrone, you give compassion to your enemies, even if you had to kick the shit out of them first. You are loyal to your friends and family and you send to hell anyone who touches your greatly flawed Mom. I salute Tyrone and respect his warrior spirit. I wish I knew where he was incarcerated so that I could send something to his commissary account. I hope that magnificent bastard can be eligible for parole someday. I would feel safer and welcome him as a neighbor. I am glad we have Tyrone and V in this world of ours. I don’t care how they got here.
-From the Ravings of the Psychomancer
He’s not locked away simply for defending his mother he’s locked away because he broke the law defending someone who frankly didn’t need or deserve any defending. Like V says, what a waste of a potentially good life in defense of someone who CHOSE to put herself in the position whereby she would receive beatings for crossing the lowlives she CHOSE to associate with. This was by no means the first beating of this kind she’d incurred through her wrong CHOICES and I doubt even her son’s incarceration would make her stop making those wrong CHOICES so chances are she’ll be beaten again, meanwhile her son - possibly the only worthwhile thing she ever produced in her sorry life - rots in jail. Like V and her brother did with their mother, Tyrone should have shrugged his shoulders and walked away.
Exactly what law was broken when Tyrone killed a man in defense of his mother’s life? I’m not quite sure whether the same rules apply as in self-defense, but for some reason this doesn’t seem to add up.
