I’m inclined to think this was true, and I’m truly sad to say that she was successful.

Plain and simple… V’s mother was (is?) an angry, insecure bitch who tried to make sure her daughter felt the same self-hatred.

As for V becoming dangeriously close to her mother, it sounds as if in a sense this is what her mother wanted. Her supposed friends in the begining seem just like her mother in some ways, and her mother of course approved of them, Im not an expert on the intricate social working of any female, but it seems like her mom and her “freinds” formed little competitive groups of overwhelming arrongant self confidence that would obsess and compete over one man. The girls making fun of the boys at the pool and obsessing over the 18 year old, and her mom showing over to her older freinds that she could turn this guys head with what she was wearing. V as it seemed got bored of the routine with the girls and broke off from the group.

Even though she was enjoying the attantion of the boys, she was not attempting show up the other girls (like her mother). As for enjoying being around “her men” I did not know V, but there is a reason why a parent, should be watching what their children wear, as far as im concerned it was enjoying some attention, but not very many 14 year olds are equiped mentally to handle that situation.

The other thing, where i come from I know very few fellow guys that pressure a woman 4 years younger then him at age 18 have the best of intentions, A 18 year waiting till a 14 year old is by herself and saying she “can” go out with him, and then when she said no, pressuring her more to do so. That could of have turned out bad.

Her mother and Vs “freinds” of course didn’t like V leaving their little inter-competition group and getting the attention of the one they were obsessing over, so naturally they did what they could to cut her down to make themselves feel better for being “outdone” as they see it. This may all seem small minded but keep in mind so were they.

I do apologize if my writing seems a bit random, I have ADHD and I would have to proofread and edit what i typed for it to appear cohearent and I don’t have that kinda time…heheh.

I don’t dislike V actually I’m addicted to her writings and have liked most of her postings - so with that said, I’m not attacking her, I’m simply saying “maybe this nightmare summer turned her into the opposite of her mother”.

The point of comparison is not WHAT they were wearing but WHY they were wearing it -”to attract male attention”.

By now if have read her postings you noticed her attacks on female attention hunger and as humiliating as this summer was to her, maybe this was the decisive point to be different than her mom. I wish all girls at 14 years old could turn away from the attention cravings that are inflicting most women around us.

My mother was kind, and went out of her way to be as normal and appropriate around my friends, and STILL I was embarrassed by her. I can’t imagine how I would have felt had she gone out of her way like V’s mother did to humiliate her.
