You’re site, new layout and all, is my first bookmark on my new ‘puter… along with VAtalk of course. Smile.
I actually think I liked the old layout better. Oh well.
Me likes simple.
Me has to agree with V’s husband. Bright and fancy is ugly. Low contrast and simple is beautiful.
But instead of black text on white background, I enjoy light gray background and dark blue (or dark green) text. Say, like violentacrestalk’s right navigation menu! Easy on the eye. Black on white is high contrast and hard on the eye. Too bad it’s only the menus, not the text itself.
(The funeral flower is a nice touch in the VA logo, though.)

Lately I can hardly finish reading your postings. I have enjoyed your website for months but lately I can actually picture you sitting in front of a blank screen wondering what you are going to write about.
I liked the old one better. Fuck you, whoever didn’t like the old site.
The new layout is actually really hard to read with the Google Adsense links everwhere. It all mixes together a bit too much. I’m all for simple, but you may want to work on some contrast between the two. Or don’t. It’s all about the RSS feed anyway.
