OK, look. I realize Ryan Holiday’s moronic little post about slow drivers was his poorly executed way of making some grand statement about mediocrity and how wrong it is for […]
Original post: Ryan Holiday is Definitely Not Mediocre. He’s Worse.

Slow drivers SUCK and Ryan is right about being annoyed. Tailgaters suck too. Stupid drivers in general….suck. End. Of. Story.
I love it when V gets bored and starts drama, she’s even better than encyclopaedia dramatica. So she can pick on people other than exploitive mommy bloggers… she can really pick a victim, none have failed to take the bait yet! >:P
Well, I have been reading VA for about 6 months now. I used to read it because I felt I had some kind of connection with “V”. I felt like we viewed the world in a similar manner. Now, I’m beginning to question that.
In this latest post all she talks about his traffic and money. Is that all it’s about? Is that why she stirs up fights with people? I’m really beginning to question if she is controversial because that’s who she is, or if she is controversial because it’s profitable.
Very, very, very possibly..both, GL.
What pixie said…but my guess is the profit is just icing. What I wonder is if he is annoyed by the fact that VA criticized his post, or because of fanatics that ended up commenting on his post. Almost feels like bloggers like trying to send their “masses” at each other heh.
Oh nice! “My dick is bigger than yours” -competition!
C’mon, V & Ryan. Just whip them out and take a good measure!
Cute, she crashed his site *lol*
and with these two posts V has finally become the very thing she makes fun of: a typical internet blogger.
but women love drama, so keep doin what you’re doin i guess. i’ll be somewhere else not freaking out about shit that doesn’t matter.
Err. I’d root you on, V, but I don’t condone fighting the “little man”.
I’m with you GL! Seriously, if your life is so boring you need to start a spat with some kid over his blog, DON’T BLOG FOR A DAY! I thought VA was an entertaining blog but now I’ve realized it’s written by a self-promoting shrew. Bye.
She’s doing it for the money. She’s doing it for the drama. She’s doing it for regulation of urinal pucks.
cry cry cry
I really don’t care. It’s all entertainment to me. I like that she’s just….
Doing it.
Wait just a dad gum minit? Is anyone else upset over being called “worthless”?
No? Just me? Ok then.
Hey V,
Pot -> Kettle -> Black
I was hurt by the worthless thing too. :(
You’re all looking too much into the money/traffic thing. He’s the one who brought both things up.
It took me about… 3 days of driving to learn the “leave early” trick.
It isn’t some big secret.
Not only do you show up on time.. when you are not in a hurry the drive is less stressful and it feels like you get there faster.
When you leave late, you get annoyed and spend a lot of energy trying to make up for the time which makes the trip feel slower.
Additionally, driving fast doesn’t even get you where you are going faster. Get a timer and time yourself driving fast and then time yourself taking it easy following the flow of traffic.
V is right, only immature kids have issues on the road.
Haha, she is very obviously just bored and wants to stir up some drama.
Something I approve of mightily, as watching these petty e-battles is hilarious (which I am sure V is aware of.)
Vee, this is an interesting statement from you: I have never become enraged to the point where my friends have said to me, “Dude, calm down.”
I take it no one has ever been in the car with you when you slammed on your brakes because someone was tailgating you. Or maybe you just enjoy causing mayhem calmly
Why is V. wasting so much time on this guy? This back and forth bickering is so junior-high. And why is V. always talking about the size of her dick–er, I mean, blog stats.
She seemed pretty calm when she did that.
“I’ll never be original and neither will Ryan Holiday. So, Ryan Holiday should grab himself some Nietzsche and shut the fuck up already because he’s hardly revolutionary.”
…. anybody else see something wrong with this pair of sentences? Doesn’t this mean you should shut up too?
I can see both sides of this. Obviously, V.A. is right that there are many more important problems in the world than slow drivers and that we shouldn’t let ourselves be affected to the point where rage is a fact of life.
However, dealing with people who seem to be too distracted, too stupid, or too self-entitled to care that they are causing problems by
-cutting in line
-changing a brat’s diaper on an eating surface
-driving 50 mph in the left lane and not paying attention to traffic
-trying to back out of a parking spot while talking on the cellphone
-not curbing their dog
-not yielding the right-of-way
-blowing through a red light long after it’s turned red
-parking in a fire lane
-littering all over my flower beds
-spilling gas at the gas station and driving off
-etc. ad nauseum (these things are all things I’ve seen this month)
do bother me because they show that the vast majority of the (American) public are self-absorbed moronic assholes. I limit myself to just being annoyed most of the time, but sometimes this all piles up and really pisses me off. I have lost my temper a few times. If people are out in public, they need to spend two seconds and think about how their action affect others.
Has anyone taken a look at his latest rebuttal. He’s supposedly outed V, although the links he provides are dead; and the links that are alive don’t seem to prove any of his statements. He’s obviously a piece of garbage.

Yes, you’re right. Everything she says about him applies to her but I guess she’s too blind to see that. Or too hypocritical.
V is just highlighting the hypocritcal dumb shit bloggers. She is a much better writer than he is and I love it when she turns her pen on these a-holes.
V - go after S. Klein again.
Check out Ryan Holiday’s most recent post. Hollie Toner? WTF? Where did he get this piece of information and how is it he thinks he can be so certain about it?
Yeah, agree with Ziah. Ryan posts a ticket for a ‘Hollie Toner’ in Ohio and claims it is V? WTF, indeed. Googled the name and found nothing - anyone else - true or not?
Ziah, do you honestly really want to know who V is? Is it even important? He can’t come up with a decent argument, so he’s attacking her.
…and it couldn’t have happened to a NICER person!
Hollie, If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the blogosphere. Noone will notice or care, anyway.
PS: “If You Are a Stay-At-Home-Mom without Interests Outside of Your Kids, Hobbies, or Marketable Skills, You are NOT a Feminist”
no, you’re a BLOGGER.
Wow. Up until now I just thought people read blogs for personal amusement and then got on with the rest of their lives. I didn’t realize the ‘rest of their lives’ bit is completely missing in most cases.

No and no.
I’m curious how he thinks he can pass this off as a convincing argument, even on the internet.
Without regard to whether or not Ryan’s blog entry (the original one which sparked her criticism) was “juvenile and thickheaded”, he certainly seems correct when he states “It’s not even about me. I’m just a proxy. She really hates Tucker Max.”. In this entry she mentions him for seemingly no reason, and not only that, she writes: “Oh, canceled before it even made it to production? Shocking. How do you suppose you’re going to spin that into a positive, Mr. PR genius?” This would make a lot more sense had Tucker been ruthlessly promoting a show that wasn’t even in production yet, assuming that anything he wrote would obviously make it to television, but he himself said on his own blog:
“A few things to note:
-Most importantly–and I cannot emphasize this enough to those not in the entertainment business–this does NOT mean I am automatically going to have a TV show. Comedy Central bought a pilot from me. Now I have to write it. If (and it is NOT certain) they like it, then they will decide to shoot it. Once it is shot, they will watch it and decide if they want to order a season. So as of right now, there are still two MAJOR steps left before this becomes a show that is on the air (if it even happens at all). Yeah, I am really excited to have this deal, but the show is not on the air until it is on the air.”

Take a look at the other thread, where someone has posted pictures of her house.
As far as I’m concerned Tucker Max and Ryan Holiday are both completely worthless individuals.

Hey!
A friend of mine referred me to your website, when they saw that I was
indirectly mentioned in one of your posts.
As you probably know, I wrote for Rudius and authored daddydonthitme.com for
six months.
Although I don’t have a problem with Ryan Holiday, or anyone else at Rudius
besides Tucker Max, I do like to help spread the message about Rudius so that
potential writers at least know what they’re getting themselves into when they
sign on.
While your assertion that I made less than $100 a month is technically correct,
I thought I would give you a more accurate figure for you to do with as you
will.
My TOTAL pay for six months was $83. Although I was of course not an hourly
employee, to put that in perspective, that makes my max pay about 50 cents an
hour, or more realistically about 35 cents an hour. From what I have been told,
this is about half the wage of a pre-pubescent migrant fruit picker.
When I asked Tucker Max why my pay was so low, and if this is what I could
expect it to be in the future I was promptly fired, and told that I was going to
be left as “the nothing he found me as.”
As I said, Tucker Max is the only person I ever really had a problem with at
Rudius, and for the most part everyone else seemed amicable enough. I just
wanted to let you know in case you ever found a reason to share this
information, because, as I said, I at least want people to know what they’re
signing on for when they write for the company.
Regards,
BC
PS
I very much enjoy what I have seen so far of your website. Your writing style,
while acerbic, is very entertaining. Thank you for your time.
