First of all, I love Violent Acres. It’s one of maybe three blogs I actually read on an ongoing basis.
But, this post screams one of two things: $250 dollar review, or “Give me more traffic!” (Or both.)
I always thought it was particularly clever how V grew a new blog into a HUGE blog by insulting blogs with a higher readership than hers… but it’s kind of annoying to see her take on a mediocre blog like RockStar Mommy. It’s not worth the effort.
Unless my skim of RSM wasn’t deep enough, she makes no pretensions about her blog being any good, or anybody caring about what she writes. And the gajillion self portraits? A commonplace Flickr fad.
When V praises or puts down a blog, I expect more of the blog she’s gone after, I guess, and RSM simply has nothing to offer. So if this was a $250 review, V, I hope it was worth it for you, because I’m a little disappointed!
