Upon walking into my friend Lizzie’s apartment yesterday, I was disappointed to find that she had also invited a girl we’ll call ‘Marie’ over. Now I’ve never particularly liked Marie, […]

“We are not our clothes. We are not our accessories. We are not the music that we listen to or the city that we live in. We are not what we claim we are and we most definitely are not what we wish. We are not images. We are our actions.”
Anyone else get a Fight Club vibe offa this?
“You are not your fucking khakis”
Personal branding is a load of garbage? Considering that the loyal readers of Violent Acres have no actual contact with the author, everything we “know” about her persona passes through the filter of her carefully crafted words.
That may be the God’s honest truth or the wild exaggerations of a vivid imagination, but “who she is” is no different than “who she TELLS us she is”. That sounds like the very definition of personal branding to me.
Totally got the fight club vibe. Enjoyed the movie and it’s message, although I love my hdtv during cubs baseball season. I wish I could be Tyler Durden, I just can’t pull it off.
I guess the truth hurts. I am still blocked from leaving comments at VA because telling people that V is no longer posting and providing proof is a no-no.
Which is a shame because the only comment I have about this latest non-V post is…..kudos for the timely and ironic subject matter!
Kudos too for an obviously more determined effort to sound like V.
“Oh, sweet irony of life.”
P.S. Elizabeth Miller is a fat slag. (Forgive the redundancy but yes, she really is that huge.)
Ugh, she’s getting nastier every time. At least she used to post things of substance before. I am not going to visit the site anymore, as I refuse to give her any more pageloads, which I suspect is the reason the comments have been opened.
For someone who doesn’t care what others think about her she sure spends a lot of time writing about how much she doesn’t care, and how we should just fuck off. Like all of us are going to be oh so hurt by whatever she says. Oh nooooo V, PLEASE LIKE ME! LIKE ME! Anyway, I’m not the one keeping a website she’s obviously too busy to maintain by herself (assuming that is indeed her) and while claiming to not care about the website or her readers at all. No one believes that bullshit. If you didn’t care about writing or the profits it brings you simply wouldn’t write at all. You’re obviously begging for more visits to your website with these last few idiotic posts. Good try, but it’s easy to see through all the bullshit once you try it so many times.
