What’s with the grammar?
Haha!
Dreams owned!
I learned a long time ago that if someone wants to know what I think of them that it is absolutely the very best thing to be brutally honest.
Before I get to the negative part I have to say that I am adept at finding the good things in people that others tend not to see at all. For example, a particularly obnoxious member of a card club I belong to - obnoxious in manner and in hygiene - is a most excellent social worker in some pretty bad schools here in Chicago. He deals with people and their shit that I couldn’t tolerate being in the same room with. It doesn’t affect me personally, but he’s dealing with lives that are in pretty bad shape and he’s making a difference. So I can overlook (most) of the obnoxious shit in favor of remembering that he’s making far more contribution to society than I ever have or ever will.
Now to the negative:
Offering razor blades to some sad sack piece of shit that sucks up all the positive energy surrounding him / her is a marvelous suggestion.
I try to avoid negative people - life’s too short to allow that kind of shit in my space. But when one of them asks my opinion I give it to them - both barrels, no holds barred. If they get their feelings hurt, my response is, “You asked. If you didn’t want to know you shouldn’t have asked.”
V’s right on this one.
So if I understand V correctly, and I don’t know if I ever really will… she’s basically talking about euthanasia. So instead of labeling any one person or group of people as positive or negative, as I’m pretty sure no one person or group of people is entirely ‘positive’ or ‘negative’ all day every day… we could actually talk about the issue she seems to be addressing.
All I have to say is that I don’t think America is ready for a serious discussion regarding this topic.
and
While I don’t personally condone euthanasia at this point in time and would not participate in the action… it seems to be a legitimate topic for discussion.
Happy Holiday…
Pretty tough talk from someone afraid of Gay Hairdressers.
