Good for V for finding her sister. Having a sister is cool. So is having a connection to one's father again. Way to go.

Ah, finally this family-saga ended.

And the realestate bits are back. I don't care much about realestate deals myself, but at least she seems to be knowing what she's talking about. But this lost family bit just didn't seem to have a point.

I'll stop ranting about her texts now, as the spice is back and return here to complain when she gets soft again.

Over and out.

Hey, have you heard the album "Blinking Lights and Other Revelations" by the Eels?

If you haven't heard it and if Rob's idolization of E hasn't soured you to the thought, you might give it a spin. If you enjoy music that's ironic and shell-shocked without being self-indulgent that also has a good dose humor, you might find it resonates with some of your experiences.

Maybe he did try to find you, but couldn't, depending on how far you moved and how well your mother covered her tracks.

In those pre-internet days, it was a lot more expensive than just googling around.

And then he got sick, and couldn't continue.

But you found a sister, and she's open to a relationship, and that's all good.

That's what I've been waiting for... at least one happy ending for V. Truthfully, I'd like to see many more. But, if one is all we get than one is all we get. Being in a similar situation, with the adoption search and all, this scenario gives me some hope. Thank you for sharing your story V.
Sincerely,
em'

awwww...I like the happy ending...even if its really more of just one isolated happy moment in the flow of your life...

don't worry about the people who accuse you of "needing to get over it" when you tell stories about a traumatic past. Although really I'm sure you don't, and I'm sure you aren't surprised...people get uncomfortable when they hear about abuse, and they react defensively to the person who was abused...

but you started out this story reassuring us that you were bored by this tale and didn't even want to tell it...

well why shouldn't you tell it? I love the story of your life, and I think these are worthwhile and important stories to share, even if you are "over it" and bored by the rehashing. It's new to us, and we love to hear it.

thats so sad that your dad was alive all that time. the years missed...I'm glad he had an excuse though, if he had just abandoned you after everything he meant to you, that really would have been the last straw

and I am so glad you found your sister, and I'm glad you were able to form a bond...I hope you can stay in touch with her
