Ugh.
For the record, I am so over this story. Generally, I hate to write stories that don’t have a point and something about this one screams Zero Plot! to me. […]

awwww…I like the happy ending…even if its really more of just one isolated happy moment in the flow of your life…

don’t worry about the people who accuse you of “needing to get over it” when you tell stories about a traumatic past. Although really I’m sure you don’t, and I’m sure you aren’t surprised…people get uncomfortable when they hear about abuse, and they react defensively to the person who was abused…

but you started out this story reassuring us that you were bored by this tale and didn’t even want to tell it…

well why shouldn’t you tell it? I love the story of your life, and I think these are worthwhile and important stories to share, even if you are “over it” and bored by the rehashing. It’s new to us, and we love to hear it.

thats so sad that your dad was alive all that time. the years missed…I’m glad he had an excuse though, if he had just abandoned you after everything he meant to you, that really would have been the last straw

and I am so glad you found your sister, and I’m glad you were able to form a bond…I hope you can stay in touch with her
